Not far from the Renaissance façade of the Castle, discover the new Rose Garden laid out and planted in 2001 under the direction of the landscape gardener Louis Benech.
No less than a hundred and sixty rosebushes of forty different species endow this garden with an elegance and a fragrant ambiance. Perennials and numerous heather plants of varying colours surround the rosebushes that are planted at the foot of yew trees, imaging the tall vertical windows of the façade as well as evoking an Italian countryside.
On y admire notamment à l'ombre du rempart le rosier « Duchesse de Rohan », baptisé ainsi au 19ème siècle en l’honneur de l’arrière grand-mère des propriétaires.
